Dynatrap® 1 Acre Decora Series Insect Trap
Is your home and yard plagued by mosquitoes, biting flies, wasps, moths, June beetles, or stink bugs? The Dynatrap® 1 Acre Decora Series Insect Trap provides a simple and effective option for protecting your property. This trap delivers powerful three-way protection against flying insects with its UV fluorescent bulb, Ti02 coating, and whisper-quiet fan. The powerful all-weather trap is designed to provide protection up to 1 acre. It’s a bigger design for a bigger catch!
3-Way Protection
Dynatrap® technology utilizes 3-way protection to defend your property against insect pests. First, the UV fluorescent bulb generates warm light, which is highly attractive to many pest insects. Then a second lure, an exclusive Ti02 titanium dioxide-coated surface, creates a reaction to produce a CO2 trail that mimics human breath and is irresistible to mosquitoes. Once attracted to the unit, the powerful, whisper-quiet fan draws the insects and mosquitoes into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die, typically within 24 hours.
How to Use
The Dynatrap® 1 Acre Insect Trap was designed with ease of use in mind. The trap requires no propane or additional attractants. To get started, hang or place your trap on a flat surface in between insect breeding areas and people areas. Place traps 3-6 feet above the ground to increase chances of mosquito contact. To avoid attracting insects to where you spend time, the trap should be located approximately 20-40 ft away from where people will be sitting or standing. Plug the trap in and keep it continuously running.
Attractive Design
Not only can Dynatrap® Mosquito and Insect Traps defend your property against bothersome insects, but they also look great while doing so. The sleek tungsten-colored finish and Decora Series decorative basket are specially designed to effortlessly blend in with your existing home décor. When you factor in the whisper-quiet fan, you’ll hardly even notice it’s there!
What We Catch
Dynatrap® Mosquito and Insect Traps catch a wide variety of pest insects known to plague homes. This trap is ideal for trapping mosquitoes, biting flies, house flies, sand flies, blow flies, drain flies, flies, moths, no-see-ums, June beetles, wasps, yellow jackets, stink bugs, gnats, and biting midges. This trap is not designed to attract honeybees and other beneficial insects.

I would give it a ... good for bugs. Bad for cleaning
Nov 1, 2024
I would give it a 5 star except at season end the disassembly for cleaning is difficult. NO INSTRUCTIONS! And if you're not careful you may strip the screws or break the grate. The blades MUST be cleaned throughout the summer here in Minnesota AND at seasons end. Merely spraying UP into the housing is not sufficient! This could be much easier with a few design changes.
It works well on the bugs tho.
I have the one acre ...
Sep 13, 2024
I have the one acre model on our 3/4 acre property. This is our second year and I have to say it’s been great! I discontinued use during the winter and set it back up in spring. I replaced the bulbs for the new season and it’s been running flawlessly. I’m always the first one bit and they get me several times before I just run back inside. Since we’ve had our dynatrap running I’ve had a handful of bites through the entire season. I have spent a lot of money on other devices and none have been as successful as this product. It has made our yard enjoyable during the humid Georgia summers.
The one-acre Dynatrap works with ...
Sep 11, 2024
The one-acre Dynatrap works with lots of capacity for insects. Always use a bait trap, DynaTrap has these on the website and they work. This year both of my DynaTraps were filled due to the unusual weather, but the testimony is a full bug trap. All of the newer units are LED so the bulbs last forever and the units handle any weather.
I have 3 -1 acre ...
Mar 12, 2024
I have 3 -1 acre traps on a 1/4 acre.
After several months of continuous 24/7 running none of these traps has many mosquitoes and mostly moths and a small amount of other various bugs.
I’m not using the advertised OPTIONAL $19 per unit attractant because it’s supposed to get mosquitoes without it.
So far it’s just a waste of money and electricity.
I will re-review these units after trying the added attractant to see the difference.
If there’s one thing you can count on it’s that Florida has tons of active mosquitoes year round but they can’t seem to find the traps just the people in the yard.

When placing the traps, they should be at least 20-40 feet away from people areas. We also recommend that they are in an area with good air flow and no competing light. Thank you for sharing this feedback. We're sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the results of this trap. When smaller insects such as mosquitos are caught, they will decompose to dust, while larger insects like moths will retain their shape. Please feel free to reach out to us via the Contact Us page with any questions on your trap setup.
These are the best bug ...

These are the best bug light you can get. The only trouble we have with them are the light sockets don't hold up. We are going to order a new one with the UV light in it. We also have the small unit had a little trouble with the cord I think I have it fixed. This will be our 4th unit we really like these.
I bought a 1 acre ...
Mar 10, 2023
I bought a 1 acre fan about 3 years ago. Well the fan went out. A piece in it broke and chewed it all up. I cannot get a fan anywhere. dynatrap can’t get them either. So if you buy the 1 acre when it breaks it’s a throwaway. Just go spend another 200 bucks on another one. It’s a great product works well.
