Is your home and yard plagued by mosquitoes, biting flies, wasps, moths, June beetles, or stink bugs? The Dynatrap® ½ Acre Tungsten Mosquito and Insect Trap provides a simple and effective option for protecting your property. This trap delivers powerful three-way protection against flying insects with its UV bulb, Ti02 coating, and whisper-quiet fan. Easily twist the retaining cage off for simple, emptying and cleaning. The lightweight, portable, and powerful all-weather trap is designed to provide protection up to ½ acre.
3-Way Protection
Dynatrap® technology utilizes 3-way protection to defend your property against insect pests. First, the UV bulb generates warm light, which is highly attractive to many pest insects. Then a second lure, an exclusive Ti02 titanium dioxide-coated surface, creates a reaction to produce a CO2 trail that mimics human breath and is irresistible to mosquitoes. Once attracted to the unit, the powerful, whisper-quiet fan draws the insects and mosquitoes into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die, typically within 24 hours.
How to Use
The Dynatrap® ½ Acre Mosquito and Insect Trap was designed with ease of use in mind. The trap requires no propane or additional attractants (optional). To get started, hang or place your trap on a flat surface in between insect breeding areas and people areas. To avoid attracting insects to where you spend time, the trap should be located approximately 20-40 ft away from where people will be sitting or standing. Plug the trap in and keep it continuously running.

I purchased a Dynatrap DT ...

I purchased a Dynatrap DT 1050-TUNSR through Amazon in July of 2022. The 41050 UV bulb that came with the unit - and an extra bulb purchased at same time - did not last through the fall of the same year! The unit was unused in 2023 and put back up in 2024. Same thing, two extra bulbs purchased through Amazon in 2024 each did not make it a month. I'm losing faith in Dynatrap products as a whole but may purchase one more 1/2 trap. If I cannot get at least 3 years from a trap and at least 3000 solid hours from a bulb, then I will be done with Dynatrap products. I have no faith in the 41050 UV bulbs!

Thank you for this feedback. We're sorry to hear that this happened with your trap. For best results, bulbs should be replaced every 4 months. The trap has a one year replacement policy.
Great product - great company

The product works great, we got one a few months ago and over time the fan got noisy. We tried to clean the blades, made sure a beetle wasn’t stuck in there, etc. Finally I contacted DynaTrap about it to see what they suggested - they didn’t suggest anything, they just replaced my product! Getting the new one was a shock, but now we remember just HOW quiet it’s supposed to be. The product is great and does exactly what it’s supposed to do; and the company itself is fantastic. I’ve never gotten customer service from a company that just blew me away - this one did!

This is my 4th dynatrap and I am very disappointed! The motor failed after 4 months of use. One from 3 years ago lasted 2 years and the unit came apart . Think I may just buy a cheaper device .
Not happy that moths are captured. Don't know about mosquitoes.

I don't know if it is any good with trapping mosquitoes but it does a bang up job at catching moths. Since moths are pollinators I let them all go and only turn the trap on in the day time. "Moths play a vital role in food webs and are an important food item for songbirds, mammals, and other insects. Moths also are important pollinators, particularly those that are active after dark, when many other pollinating animals have settled down for the night."

My husband cannot sit outside without being attacked by mosquitoes. At a friend’s gathering none of the 8 attendees got bit, there were no flies bothering us either. She told us about Dynatrap so we bought one too. For the first time in his life my husband can sit outside the the evening and enjoy it. We float in the pool, hang out on the deck and no one is bothered by bugs! Several of our friends have purchased this same unit because it works so well. Fantastic product!

We are sorry to hear that your fan is not working properly! Have you made sure that the fan is clear of any obstructions? Sometimes larger bugs and other debris can get trapped in the fan and cause a buildup. This will cause the fan to fail. If there are no obstructions, we next recommend plugging the unit into an alternate outlet to see if that does the trick!
If these troubleshooting steps do not give positive results, it is good to know that these traps are backed by a 1 year replacement policy. Please give us a call at 877-403-8727 for further assistance.
Worked for a while, but ...

Worked for a while, but now the connection for the bulb is so delicate. Light is on, but the second I put back the bug cage the light goes out. Sometimes it lasts a short while, but if I plug it in somewhere then move it, the bulb is no longer on.

Traps should be place 20-40 feet away from your outdoor activity area as the trap will immediately attract insects towards it as soon as it is turned on.
