Dynatrap® 1 Acre Outdoor Insect Trap

How it Works

The Dynatrap® Outdoor Insect Trap uses advanced technology to deliver unmatched control of mosquitoes and other flying insects. Here's how it works: the LED bulb generates UV rays that attract flying insects, day and night. As insects approach the device, a powerful fan pulls them into the catch basket. Once inside, a patented damper keeps them securely trapped.

How it Works

Easy to Use

This device is incredibly easy to use - simply plug it in, turn it on, and leave it on 24/7 to effectively disrupt the mosquito breeding cycle. Maintenance is just as effortless. When the catch basket is full, you can empty it with the touch of a button. Plus, the easy-to-change LED bulb lasts 6x longer than fluorescent bulbs, so you don’t need to replace it often.

Easy to Use

Understated Design

Sophisticated technology and ingenuity on the inside. Sleek and unassuming on the outside. The Dynatrap® Outdoor Insect Trap features an understated design that will seamlessly blend in with its surroundings while it protects your yard. When you factor in the powerful yet quiet fan, you’ll hardly even notice it’s there.

Just to update my previous review. I had a problem with one of my new traps. I've owned 4 others before these and they still work like a charm anyway I've lifted them to family and they are very happy with them. But back to my original point. I had a problem with my new one. And customer service was prompt and very helpful I'm fixing the issue. To anyone on the fence I encourage you to go ahead and purchase one. You won't be disappointed the product is wonderful as is the customer service. Thanks so much Dynatrap.

Have used your traps for several years now. And boy do they work now mind you it was immediately but in time they made a huge difference. Case in point at any time during spring summer my bird bath would be full of mosquito larva. At the end of the first year they had been cut in half by the second year only a few remaining. Now my birdbath is completely clear of any of them and I can enjoy the outside again. Thank you for a wonderful product.

Q&A

How often does the bulb need to be changed? How easy is it to change the bulb?
Question by: Brian Domian on Oct 21, 2024, 2:29 PM
The bulb will last about 20,000 hours, or approximately 2.5 years. The bulb is easy to replace. Just remove the lid, pull the bulb out of the socket, and replace it with a new one.

Why is the NEW 1 Acre unit so much smaller than the original one. I have 2 of the earlier versions and they are much larger? Will the NEW version be as effective? Thank you
Question by: TED J FILIPOWICZ on Jan 24, 2025, 12:31 PM
Thank you for reaching out! We've done efficacy testing and confirmed that the performance of the new traps aligns with the old. The difference in size is mainly due to the bulb it uses UV-LED light helps to lure mosquitoes to the trap. Which is replaced approx. every 2.25 years

How much electricity do the 1 acre vs 1/2 acre models use? I live off-grid with a solar system, so this is important.
Thanks!
Question by: sean on Oct 27, 2024, 11:42 AM
The power draw for the DT1130 is 5.6 W and the power draw for the DT2030 is 5.2 W. To further confirm, the DT1130 does indeed draw slightly more power than the DT2030.
