Why is it important to keep away from main sources of light? I have no spot that has all-day shade.
Question by: Sheridan on Mar 9, 2025, 11:39 PM
Hi, thanks for your question!
In this case, Dynatraps use a fluorescent light to attract mosquitoes. If the traps are exposed to direct sunlight or strong artificial light, it could affect their ability to attract mosquitoes since the UV light may become less visible. That's why we recommend placing it in a shaded area.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us!

I have model DT1130. The bottom door doesn’t create a seal to keep bugs in. How to fix it?
Question by: Paul on Jun 29, 2025, 5:31 PM
Thank you for reaching out! If the bottom door of your Dynatrap® DT1130 model isn't creating a proper seal to keep insects contained, first ensure that the door is properly aligned and securely latched. Sometimes debris or a slight misalignment can prevent it from closing completely. Gently clean around the edges of the door and the trap base to remove any dirt or buildup that might interfere with the seal. If the issue persists, inspect the door for any warping or damage that could affect the fit.
