A bigger design for a better catch, plus style to match any outdoor décor.
If you have an extra-large mosquito or flying insect problem, the DynaTrap® XL Mosquito and Insect Trap delivers four layers of powerful protection. First, a UV fluorescent bulb generates a warm light, attracting insects. Then a second lure, an exclusive Ti02 titanium dioxide-coated surface, produces CO2 that's irresistible to mosquitoes. The included ATRAKTA® sachets emit irresistible scents to attract more insects than ever before. Last, a powerful yet whisper-quiet vacuum fan sucks insects into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die. Empty the retaining cage every 1-2 weeks and replace the UV Bulbs every 4 months or 3000 hours
Durable, all-weather construction for dependable protection. The corrosion-resistant coating and durable design allow the trap to withstand adverse weather conditions, so you never experience a gap in protection. The easy-to-use design allows you to simply place the trap, plug it in to a standard 120v outlet, and allow the trap to go to work flying insects. The DynaTrap® XL Mosquito and Insect Trap provides up to 1 acre of effective coverage. To maximize your coverage, the trap can be placed on a flat surface or hung from a hook.

Works well a bit non-discriminant in what it catches, but this is clearly indicated on the website and instructions.
Would appreciate the option of pole mounting the product as it only hangs or you need to place on something else or the ground.
4-1/2 stars. It works great, but am I bug free, no. And bug-free might be an impossibility this time of year when we are seeing an even greater mosquito presance than ever before. However, my patio is much more enjoyable and I canlive with the occasional flyer.
Seemed to work but not a full acre maybe 1/2 of my yard (pool area)- had to get a mosquito abatement company also. Went to change bulbs this summer and have had NO luck getting the UV lights to come on. ANybody got some helpful tips?
THE PRODUCT HAS PROVEN ITS WORTH AS IT IMMEDIATELY ADDRESSED THE INSECT POPULATION THAT HAD BEEN WORRISOME. WHETHER USING THE ATTRACTENT OR NOT THE DYNATRAP HAS MADE AN IMPACT.
Setup was easy, though I have to say it was larger than I expected, so I haven't been able to hang it up yet, as the spot I was originally planning on putting it is too small. It's certainly been catching lots of flying insects, but it's too soon to tell how effective it is. I haven't emptied it yet, but I'm a little nervous to do so, as some of the insects it catches take quite a while to die so there will be plenty of living bugs flying around in the trap. Hopefully dunking the trap in a bucket of water will help take care of that without letting any bugs escape. Overall I'm happy so far, and hope to start seeing noticeable results in the next few weeks!
The Dynatrap is so effective! I recommend them to everyone. I got the 1 acre just to be nice to my neighbors and their dogs and kids, (and I got it much more cheaply, reconditioned, on Ebay), and I seem to have taken care of the mosquitos for all the houses surrounding mine also.
The first year I used it, I changed the bulbs every four or five months, but this past year wanted to see how long they would last and be effective. After a year+ and a few weeks of rain, I finally saw a few, and got my first mosquito bite at my house two years, so I changed the bulbs, and none of us have seen one since.
The amount of bugs it catches in the trap is very surprising. It is a pricey product, and I wish the company would lower the price so more folks could purchase them. But as for effectiveness, it really works and has been worth every penny!

Does the Dynatrap kill spotted lantern flies?
Question by: Joyce on Apr 8, 2023, 8:15 PM
The DynaTrap has not been tested on this specific type of insect, however if they were to fly too close to the trap, there is a possibility that they may be caught.
